I would like to make contact with you regards to a new training manual we are launching soon. This manual is going to be a field safety guide used by the Cape Nature crews and Working for Water Projects (guys clearing the alien vegetation in the country). The purpose of the manual is to educate and inform them of the potential dangers and the importance of the eco-systems that the snakes form part of, thus reducing unnecessary killing of snakes encountered. Any contributions made will be given full credits in the manual as well as the visual presentation used during the course.
We want to ensure that these guys are prepared when they are sent into the bush, along with the tools to deal with an emergency should one occur.
Please let me know if you are willing to assist us in this educational drive by providing us with permission to use the pictures, you are welcome to contact me on 074 363 7744 (24hrs) or via email on garth@medicare-emr.co.za Thanks for getting back to me, the list below is for the printed manual, it is the 13 snakes that pose a threat to the guys out in the field, any additional photo's can be used in the presentation for general knowledge and identification exercises.
we also featuring spiders and scorpions, along with the endangered species in the printed manual, please feel free to share any advice or requests with regards to the photo's. Essentially we require high resolution pictures as the manual is in full colour, printed on a special water and grease resistant paper. It’s not made from paper but from limestone, is flexible too, eco friendly and uses a 10th of the amount of water used to make normal paper. We are going all out with this and would be great to have your photo's included.
